Opposition tried to politicize land acquisition issue, they stand exposed: Nitin Gadkari
Nagpur, Aug 31 (ANI): Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to not re-promulgate the land ordinance act and criticised the opposition for politicizing the issue. He said that the opposition tried to politicize the issue in every way and they stand exposed now. Gadkari said that the prime minister tried time and again to have discussion with all the chief ministers on the ordinance and had also asked for suggestions by the opposition. The union minister further lashed out at the opposition parties for provoking the farmers against the land acquisition ordinance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 11th address to the nation 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday said that the Ordinance will not be renewed.
