Only transgender is third gender, not gays, lesbians or bisexuals, clarifies SC
Mumbai, June 30 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Thursday clarified that the term 'third gender' only includes transgender - and not gays, lesbians or bisexuals - as it upheld the OBC reservation for them. Dismissing a petition, along with a penalty incurred on the hearing, the apex court pulled up the Centre that had demanded a modification in its 2014 verdict. Welcoming the decision, social activist Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi asked the government to look into the process of facilities that were stopped from last two years.
