OROP issue: Nitish slams govt, says it's unfortunate that veterans are on hunger strike

Patna, Sept 05 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that it is very unfortunate that the present Modi led government has not decided anything related to one rank one pension issue. Supporting OROP, Bihar CM said the initiative was taken by the UPA government now it is the time to implement it; after 15 months of NDA government in centre if the demand has not been fulfilled then it is very unfortunate. For the ex servicemen who have been protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi for, Nitish said these are the people who are always there on borders to ensure the safety of the country, it is sad that they are on hunger strike for implementation of OROP. He added the government should take a decision on it soon.
