ON VIJAY DIWAS PARRIKAR PAYS TRIBUTE TO KARGIL WAR MARTYRS
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar paid homage to the Kargil war martyrs today at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate. He attended the event organised on ‘Vijay Divas,’ the anniversary of Kargil war victory, along with service chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force.
The nation is celebrating the 17th anniversary of the successful completion of ‘Operation Vijay’ in 1999 during which the Indian forces were able to take back the outposts captured by intruders from Pakistan.
