Not focusing on Heir-loom piece, says Rahul Mishra

New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Fashion designer Rahul Mishra unveiled his 'Tree of Life' collection on the second day of Amazon Indian Couture Week. The collection is inspired from the centuries old Chintz textile, which reflects Rahul's visit to the Victoria Museum, and is also inspired by nature and modern multi-tasking women. The collection comprises of contemporary and traditional elements put together for new age brides, including bomber jackets and jumpers with lehangas, cape and jackets with saris. Showcasing his collection after two years in India, Mishra's collection is mostly about hand-embroideries with use of varieties of natural yarns available in India, like- Chanderi, Cotton, Silk, Organza etc. Ninety percent of the work has been done by village based craftsmen in India. Spanning for five days, India Couture week will host 10 ace fashion designers and will conclude on August 2.
