No roaming charges from next year: Kapil Sibal
New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): Reiterating one of the points of a new telecom policy approved by the central cabinet in May, Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal today said that cell phone users will not have to pay roaming charges while using their connections in transit from state to state from next year. The cabinet had approved the new policy in May, replacing rules more than a decade old, aiming to boost transparency and revive growth in the telecom sectors that had been rocked by a massive scandal in 2010.
