Exclsuive Interview Feature at WBRi Washington Bangla Radio (http://www.WashingtonBanglaRadio.com)Indian Tollywood Kolkata Bangla movie Muktodhara features the irresistibly handsome actor Nigel Akkara in a lead role. Muktadhara is a life changing experience for Nigel, who went astray and ended up incarcerated for nine years when all of 20 years old. Nigel plays Yusuf Mohammad Khan, a prison convict who, like Nigel in real life and also like the famous Bandit Ratnakara who later became sage Valmiki, has great inner conflict.Nigel expresses optimism that Muktodhara will generate greater awareness in society about people who have served their sentences in jail and are trying to make an honest living, and also that there will be greater understanding of criminals in jail who are also people and may have gotten into crime (and resultant jail time) as a last resort or exceptional circumstances. Muktadhara (Bengali, 2012) is unprecedented in the sense it casts an ex convict in a leading role.Muktodhara is directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee (Icche). Nigels co actors include Rituparna Sengupta, Bratya Basu, Debshankar Halder, Kharaj Mukherjee and more.
