Mysore 'big-fat' wedding: A sneak-peak into what royal couple wore

New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): A wedding the royal palace of Mysore and the people of the city had been waiting for has finally taken place. The titular head of the Mysore's Wodeyar dynasty, Yaduveer Chamraja Krishnadatta Wodeyar married Trishika Kumari from the erstwhile Dungarpur dynasty of Rajasthan, So, let's take you on a tour to what the royal couple wore on their big day. The bride wore a beautiful traditional nine-yard Mysore silk saree in the combination of yolk yellow and magenta. She wore antique Nakshi and Temple jewellery which included Haaram, a long neck piece that starts from nape and ends at the navel. Matha-patti, a golden head gear worn on forehead with two broaches like hair accessories called surya and chandran. The traditional hair-jewelry called Bilai, worn on the length of the braid. Following the tradition of his family, the prince wore Mysore Peta, a traditional head gear which reflects the royal heritage and cultural antecedents of the bygone golden era. The head gear is decorated with golden or silver laces and beautiful metal pendants to add to its glory.
