Muslims across India make final preparations as Eid Ul Fitr closes near
Thiruvananthapuram /Kolkata, July 27 (ANI): Muslims across India are busy making the final preparations ahead of Eid ul Fitr, an important Muslim festival which will mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Markets in cities wear a festive look with sparkling lights and enthusiastic crowds rushing for last minute shopping. Eid shopping has gained momentum in the last week of Ramadan and shoppers throng to markets after Iftar and shop till late night. The markets remain open until sehr (pre-dawn time to begin fast). An excited shopper, Sophie, said that her shopping of clothes and gifts is nearly over. During Eid shopping, markets are buzzing with crowds and traders make a fast buck.
