Maoists gun down police official
Malkangiri, July 31(ANI): An unprecedented and audacious attack by Maoists resulted in the death of a special police officer (SPO) and injured another in the Malkangiri district of Odisha. The dead SPO was identified as Ajit Sodhi, and the injured special police officer was Lachma Madkami, who is receiving treatment at a local hospital. The attack was carried out at the Padia marketplace, 70 kilometres from Malkangiri, where the two officers were on a regular patrol. A search operation was launched by security forces to hunt down the culprits. The Maoists are observing their martyrs week.
