Mann ki Baat: Democracy is our strength, says PM Modi
New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Calling the night of June 25-26, 1975 the darkest night in nation’s history, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday pitched for the importance and strength of democracy. Asserting that a democracy imparts equal rights to all its citizens, the Prime Minister called for the need of mass participation in making and implementation of government policies. The nation had witnessed internal emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in June, 1975. The Prime Minister was addressing the nation through 21st edition of ‘Mann ki Baat’ today.
