Manmohan Singh kicks off 'Kissan rally', targets Modi over Land Acquisition Bill
New Delhi, April 19 (ANI): Congress leader and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh kicked off the 'Kisan Rally' at the Ramlila Ground in the national capital on Sunday. Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre over the controversial Land Acquisition Bill, Singh said that during Lok Sabha poll campaigns Narendra Modi used to say that his party will work for farmers but nothing of that sort happened. He added that the Congress has always worked for the farmers, with the farmers.
