Madrassa derecognition row: Owaisi slams BJP's 'deliberate contradiction'
Hyderabad, July 2 (ANI): AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday launched an attack on the Devendra Fadnavis Government for derecognizing madrassas as 'schools', saying it was a 'deliberate contradiction' as the BJP had pledged in their 2014 election manifesto to modernize the Islamic seminaries. In a controversial move, madrassas have been derecognized as formal schools in Maharashtra, which has directed the district administrations to declare their students 'out-of-school children'.
