MP Jal Satyagrah: State govt assures action on rising water levels
Bhopal/New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): The Madhya Pradesh government today promised action on the rising water levels in the Omkareshwar dam and Indira Sagar dam after villagers demonstrate their protest by standing in neck deep water continuously for 15 days. More than 130 villagers of Madhya Pradesh are seeking rehabilitation and compensation as their lands are submerged due to the rise in level of the Narmada river. Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) activist, Alok Agrawal informed media that the ministers have assured them to provide help to the displaced villagers.
