London Olympic 2012: Vijay Kumar wins Silver
Shimla/ Srinagar/Hamirpur, Aug 04 (ANI): Shooter Subedar Vijay Kumar has won Indias first silver at the London Olympics after finishing second at the mens 25m rapid fire pistol with 30 out of 40 shots behind Cubas Leuris Pupo.The army serviceman threw both hands in the air and pumped his fists as he was welcomed on to the podium to collect Indias second shooting medal of the Games. Feng Ding of China was third on 27 before being eliminated after 35 shots. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal, hailed Kumars achievement and announced a cash award of rupees 1 crore.
