Leonardo DiCaprio takes global warming issue to Donald Trump

New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the actors who is a doing a lot to fight the battle against "global warming." And in order to solve it, the 'Revanant' star took the issue President-elect Donald Trump. According to a statement made by Terry Tamminen, the head of the 42-year-old star's eponymous environmental foundation, he and DiCaprio met with Trump for about 90 minutes, during which they laid out a "framework" for how the incoming cabinet can be more considerate of the environment, Us magazine reports. According to the statement, the conversation focused on how to create millions of secure American jobs in the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation. As part of their exchange, the 'The Revenant' star gifted the 70-year-old real estate mogul a copy of his recent documentary 'Before the Flood', which addresses the perils of climate change and its effect on the planet. Trump, who has previously denied the reality of climate change, calling it a mere "concept" created "by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive," seemed open to discussing global warming further.
