Kailash Vijayvargiya backtracks his remark on deceased journalist, says was not talking about Akshay

New Delhi, July 06 (ANI): BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya stoked a controversy by making an insensitive remark about deceased journalist Akshay Singh, backtracked on his comment and claimed that a joke that he had cracked was later taken out of context. Vijayvargiya said that he was joking with ABP news' senior journalist Brijesh Rajput and that the statement recorded was not in the context of journalist Akshay Singh. He further said that his sentiments have been hurt because people have linked his statement with the death of journalist Akshay Singh. Vijayvargiya was reportedly caught on camera saying that "Is a journalist bigger than me?" while commenting over journalist Akshay Singh's death case.
