It happens: Wanted red sandal smuggler arrested by police in Tirupati
Tirupati, August 1 (ANI): The Tirupati police arrested a most wanted red sandal smuggler based in Chennai, who was wanted in connection with six cases in Chittoor, three in Kadapa and one in Tirupati Urban police districts. According to reports, acting on a tip-off that the smuggler was sighted in Chennai, a team comprising inspectors and sub-inspectors was deputed to Chennai. The smuggler was arrested near the Passport Office on Mount Road. Reportedly, the police will invoke the Preventive Detention Act against the smuggler besides complaining to the Directorate of Enforcement (ED).
