Inmates celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their families in Bhopal’s Central jail
Bhopal, August 29 (ANI): Raksha Badhan was celebrated by the inmates of Bhopal’s Central jail inside the prison’s premises on Saturday. The family members of the inmates visited them in the jail and the sisters tied rakhis to their brothers. The inmates and their relatives were elated after meeting each other on a festive occasion. Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters. On Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie a rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother's wrist. This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.
