Sriharikota, March 29 (ANI): Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) put its fourth navigation satellite, which will establish country's independent navigation system, into orbit successfully late on Saturday (March 28). The launch of the satellite IRNSS-1D onboard the PSLV-C27 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) took place from the launch facility at Sriharikota city in Andhra Pradesh. IRNSS' uses include terrestrial and marine navigation, vehicle tracking, disaster management, navigation aide for travelers, visual and voice navigation for drivers among others. The system will provide Standard Positioning Services available to all and Restricted Service, which is encrypted and only available to authorised users.
