Hundreds protest after suspected case of honour killing in Agartala
Agartala, July 07 (ANI): Hundreds of people protested by organising a sit-in in front of the East Agartala Police Station, demanding the arrest of those involved in the suspected honour killing of a local youth. The protestors alleged that 22-year-old Pritam Roy was killed after the family of his wife refused to accept their marriage. The protestors later dispersed after the police assured them that a thorough investigation would take place in the alleged murder. The police also said that they are waiting for the post-mortem report, which has been sent to Kolkata.
