Green Peas Sundal
(Pachai Pattani Sundal)
Ingredients
Green peas - 1 packet
Onion - 1 chopped
Fresh grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
A few Curry leaves
Salt to taste
For Tempering
Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida powder a pinch
Red chili - 3
Method:
1. First add Green peas with Salt in boiling water. Once cooked, strain it & keep aside.
2. Heat Coconut oil in a pan, add Urad dal, Chana dal, Mustard seeds, Red chilli & a pinch of Asafoetida powder.
3. Once Mustard seeds starts splattering add chopped Onions & few Curry leaves. Sauté the Onion till it turns transparent.
4. Now add Salt, Cooked Green peas & sauté it for few minutes.
5. Finally add the grated Coconut & mix well for a minute.
6. Your Green peas Sundal (Pachai Pattani Sundal) is ready to serve.
