Goa Geologist Suicide: Cong files complaint against Parrikar
Ponda, Sep 23 (ANI): Congress leader Sudip Tamhankar today filed a complaint at Ponda police station against Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for allegedly abetting suicide of a suspended assistant geologist Dattatray Bhave. Bhave had committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Ponda town on September 21. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that he had asked local deputy collector to initiate an inquiry. According to Bhaves family, he was humiliated, mentally tortured and harassed by the department after the suspension, following which he killed himself. Bhave, along with other five officials was suspended for their alleged involvement in illegal mining activity.
