Girl in UP calls off wedding as to-be groom fails to count currency notes
Ballia, May 04 (ANI): A girl named Gudiya in Uttar Pradesh called off her wedding as her to-be-groom failed to count currency notes. The wedding, reportedly, was fixed for last Friday (May 01). As the wedding rituals began, Gudiya's family found the boy's activities atypical and suspected him of being illiterate following which Gudiya gave him some currency notes asking him to divide them into two. The villagers and other members of the family tried convincing Gudiya and her mother to not call off the wedding, but the duo was determined. Devi, however, tried to marry off Gudiya with the boy's younger brother, but could not convince his family who returned empty handed.
