Fresh violence in Assam: 1 killed
New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): One person has died and five others have been injured in fresh round of violence in lower Assam s Kokrajhar district claiming over 90 lives and leaving lakhs displaced. Meanwhile Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that the central governments utmost priority is to restore peace in Assam. Violence between the Bodo tribals and Muslim communities, believed to be illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, in Assam broke out on July 20, after unidentified men killed four Bodo youths.
