Free education for tribal children in Maoist hit Odisha

Rayagada, August 06 (ANI): Concerned about growing Maoist influence among tribals in Odisha, police have taken up the initiative of providing free education to tribal children to prevent them from being recruited by the Naxals. Police in Rayagada district select tribal children, belonging to poor and backward families, from Maoist infested areas with an aim to enrol them in Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar and provide them with quality education.
