Forest department recovered wild birds, 1 arrested
Dharmashala (Himachal Pradesh), Jul 01 (ANI): The forest department has recovered wild birds from a vehicle in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. A Himalayan Goral, of deer family, was also recovered. The driver of the vehicle is under the custody of forest department. The case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Santosh Patial, SP Kangra tells, “The forest department of Wild Life caught six birds from a vehicle, one dead and five alive, and then they brought them to the police station. They initiated proceedings and filed an FIR in this case and then they requested for the police assistance to raid a particular place where we found a Himalayan Goral also. The proceedings under Wild Life Protection Act are going on. They have also detained the driver of the vehicle.”
