Fishermen in TN plan strike against govt's order barring them to fish in Lankan waters
Rameshwaram, May 05 (ANI): Fishermen in Tamil Nadu threatened to go for an indefinite strike to protest New Delhi's orders barring them fishing in Sri Lankan waters. They also deplored remarks made by Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, on April 29 directing the fishermen not to cross the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL), near Katchatheevu Island. A meeting was called in Rameshwaram city to discuss the outcome of a meeting of representatives of fishermen with foreign minister.
