Family adopted by Salman Khan grieve over Court's verdict in Hit-and-run case

Aishmuqam Anantnag, May 06 (ANI): A poor family of Kashmir valley which was adopted by Bollywood Actor Salman Khan some days ago at Ashmuqam in Anantnag district during his shooting for the film of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, expressed their grief on Wednesday after Khan was held guilty by a Sessions Court of Mumbai in the famous hit and run case. The family's 75-year-old matriarch, Zaina Begum, met the actor while he was filming in Pahalgam with an 'application' for help. Zaina Begum has been struggling, with her 40-year-old widowed daughter Dilshada Jaan, to raise four grandchildren, who moved into her modest home after the untimely demise of their father. Earlier in the day, Salman Khan was handed out a five-year jail term by a Mumbai sessions court after being found guilty of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case. However, Khan was granted two days interim bail by High Court after Khan's lawyer moved High Court for the bail application.
