Encroachers convert a primary school in Uttar Pradesh into a stable

Ballia, July 07 (ANI): Encroachers have converted a primary school in Uttar Pradesh into a stable. Built in 2012, the school is in Ballia district and has 198 students enrolled in the ongoing academic session (2015-16) with a principal and a teacher on-record. However, the school is being used as an animal shelter with the playgrounds housing several stables. While fodder is stored in one of the classrooms, another room is forcefully occupied by a family. Moreover, the only teacher, Sunita Mishra, rarely makes an appearance at the school, forcing students to return back home. Dhanjey Yadav, whose family has been living in the room illegally for over an year, is yet to be issued any notice. The state education department is yet to take action against the defaulters.
