Cong blames states drawing excessive power for grid failure
New Delhi/Yamunanagar, Aug 01 (ANI): Commenting on the unexpected trip in the national grid network that affected extensive regions in the north and northeastern parts of the country for two successive days, Congress attributed the cause to certain states drawing excessive power than the entitled quota. Congress spokesperson, Manish Tiwari blamed such states for their tapping of excessive power resulting in complete breakdown in rational supply and distribution of electricity. It has been reported in the media that Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh are the defaulters for tapping excessive power than they are entitled to. However, reacting to these observations, Haryanas Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that his state has never withdrawn more power than what they have been entitled to.
