Chhattisgarh Govt. to provide steel tiffins to MNREGA workers
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 08 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday announced that his Government will soon provide stainless steel tiffins to the workers enrolled under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarrantee Act (MNREGA) scheme. Singh’s comments came while he was speaking to the media after taking stock of the work under Lok Suraj Abhiyan. Under this scheme, a number of ‘Samadhan Shivirs’ are being organised at various districts across the state. The programme will conclude on May 20. Adopted in 2005, MNREGA aims to provide 100 days of wage-employment to labourers.
