Candle light vigil over C garh Maoists encounter

New Delhi, July 5 (ANI): A group of people joined candle light vigil led by social activist cum Maoist sympathiser Swami Agnivesh in New Delhi over the controversial rebels encounter that recently took place in Chhattisgarh, where police gunned down at least 17 suspected Maoists during an overnight gun battle. Slamming the CRPF and the central government, Agnviesh said that all those people killed in the encounter were deprived and innocent tribals. Agnivesh has been demanding for judicial probe into the incidence. Couple of days ago, Agnivesh also urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to sack Home minister P Chidambaram for supporting the gun battle and lauding the security personnel for killing the innocent tribals.
