Blasts in Pune not an act of militancy: Police
New Delhi/Pune/ Mumbai, Aug 02 (ANI): Police in Pune said that the four low intensity blasts were not the work of any militant group and were just aimed to create panic amongst locals. Four small explosions occurred in quick succession in a busy shopping area of Pune injuring two persons. Police officials rushed to the market, where one of the blasts occurred, right outside a McDonald restaurant. The blast comes just a day after Sushil Kumar Shinde got sworn in as the countrys new Home Minister. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said that the people of the state should remain calm and the perpetrators behind this incident would soon be nabbed.
