BJP MLA:VANDE MATRAM HAD TO BE CUT SHORT BECAUSE OF MINORITY
BJP MLA Usha Thakur, who had stirred up a hornet’s nest by saying that Muslim men should not attend Garba events during Navratri festival, has raked up another controversy by saying that it is because of the Muslim community that the people of this nation sing only two stanzas of national song ‘Vande Matram’. She said the last three stanzas are not sung because the word ‘Durga’, which is the name of a Hindu Goddess, appears in the third stanza and that can hurt the sentiments of the minority community.
