At the source of the Zika virus, scientists remain vigilant
As the Zika virus spreads to the USA and Europe, officials from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have released new guidelines for travellers to and from outbreak regions. The disease is named after the forest in Uganda where it was first discovered. Scientists in the laboratory where the virus was first isolated continue to study the disease and remain vigilant against its possible spread in Africa.
