Assam violence continues

Assam, July27 (ANI): Ethnic clashes which have already claimed 44 lives, continued in Assam as fresh riots erupted in Baksa district.Tens of thousands have fled from their razed homes and they have been camping at relief camps. Fearing for their lives, tens of thousands of Muslims and Bodos have fled their homes in remote hamlets along the border with Bhutan, and sought shelter in camps in larger towns. Meanwhile Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is under fire for his handling of the violence in the state from the Congress leadership. Gogoi who went to Kokrajhar only on the fifth day of the violence said that the ground situation was getting better and that within a couple of days normalcy would be restored.
