Assam Violence: Centre should have taken more steps to curb militancy in North East, says former CM
Rajkot, Dec 28 (ANI): Former Assam Chief Minister and Asom Gana Parishad President Prafulla Kumar Mahanta on Sunday while commenting on the recent attacks in Assam said that Central government should have taken tough measures to control militancy in North East region. He added that when Congress was in power in Assam, the problem had arisen and is still continuing. He further stated that he wished peace to prevail in the region.
