Artisans adorning Lord Krishna with ganga jamuni tehzeeb
Varanasi, Aug 20 (ANI): India is a land where people from different faiths have lived together in peace and harmony for centuries. One such example can be found in Varanasi in northern Uttar Pradesh. Here artisans from different religions together make the ornaments and costumes that adorn the idols of Hindu deities. The artisans, mostly Muslims, embroider golden threads or Zari on the crowns and other ornaments and decorate them with bright, colourful beads and fancy stones. Once the crowns are ready they are sent to the wholesale dealers and various shops, which are mainly owned by Hindus.
