Army organizes cycle rally to commemorate 1965 victory over Pak

Jammu, Sept 04 (ANI): Thirty-six army officials began a cycle rally from the Jammu to New Delhi on Friday to commemorate the golden jubilee of India's victory over Pakistan in the 1965 war. The expedition covering 1,211 kilometres will culminate in New Delhi on September 18. The participants include three officers, three Junior Commission Officers and 30 other rank officers belonging to the Tiger division of Indian army. The 1965 war was the first battle fought post independence. The 17-day-war caused thousands of causalities on both sides and saw the biggest tank battle since World War II. Both the countries claim victory.
