Aloo Makkai Nawabi Tikki
Ingredients
Oil - 3 tsp
Ginger - 1 tsp chopped
Onion - 4 tsp chopped
Green chilli - 1 chopped
American Corn - 4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chill powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
Mashed Aloo (Potato) - 1 cup
A few Coriander leaves
Maida - 4 tsp
Corn flour - 4 tsp
Water
Cornflakes - 1 cup
Oil for Deep frying
Method:
1. Heat Oil in a pan. Add Ginger, Onion, Green Chilli & saute it for a few minutes.
2. Now, add cooked American Corn & mix it.
3. Then add Turmeric powder, Chill powder, Salt, Jeera powder & mix it well.
4. Finally add Mashed Aloo (Potato) & Coriander leaves. Mash it well while mixing.
5. Turn off the stove & cool the mixture.
6. Now we will make a batter. In a bowl add equal amount of Maida & Corn flour. Add water & mix it to a thick batter consistency.
7. Once the mixture cools down, mash it well & make a balls.
8. Dip the balls in the batter & coat it with Cornflakes. Flatten it lightly between your palms.
9. Once the Oil is hot, deep fry it till it turns golden brown colour.
10. Serve it with Mint chutney.
