World No.1 and ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal won her opener in style at the $750,000 Australian Open Super Series.
It was a comfortable win by the defending champion, who beat 67th ranked Cheah Lyddia Yi Yu of Malaysia. Nehwal eased past Cheah 21-12, 21-10 to enter the last 16th of the competition. The second seed, next plays Sun Yu of China.
