AAP's Vasegaran begins hunger strike, demands release of volunteers

Chennai, March 29 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Vasegaran began a hunger strike on Sunday demanding the release of 50 volunteers of his party who were arrested on March 21 for barging into the compound of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam's official residence. The AAP members, who were booked for barging into Paneerselvam's residence on Greenways Road, had gone to submit a petition to the Chief Minister demanding a CBI probe into the death of executive engineer of agriculture department Muthukumaraswamy. According to reports, all the 50 AAP members have been remanded in judicial custody till April 1 and a probe has been ordered.
