8 IAF men killed in MI 17 mid air collision
Jamnagar, Aug 30 (ANI): Eight IAF personnel have died and three others were injured in a major mid air crash between two Mi 17 helicopters over Samrat village near Jamnagar air base in Gujarat today. The villagers, who witnessed the accident, said the two choppers collided soon after takeoff and crashed near the village, 15 km from Jamnagar. Indian Air Force officers, police officials and Jamnagar municipal corporation fire brigade have reached the spot and are assessing the situation. A court of inquiry has been ordered to determine the reasons behind the crash.
