Woman Maoist surrenders in Odisha
Malkangiri, Aug 30 (ANI): Disillusioned by the Maoist ideologies a woman Maoist, Parbati Majhi, surrendered before police in rebe infested Malkangiri District of Odisha. The 27 year old deputy commander decided to join mainstream after facing sexual exploitation by male cadres. Majhi, who gave up violent activities due to health problems, would be rehabilitated according to the government policy. The woman ultra claimed that she was forced to join the extremist outfit, as her parents were reeling under poverty.
