11th class student arrested for possession of heavy arms & ammunition in Murshidabad
Murshidabad (West Bengal), Aug 18 (ANI): A 19-year-old student was arrested near Chander More area in possession of heavy arms and ammunition on Saturday. Police believed that he was taking the arms to deliver them in different parts of Murshidabad district. Police recovered twelve 7.65 pistol, 24 magazines, eighty-four round 7.65 mm ammo, eight numbers of 8mm pipe gun, sixteen rounds of 8mm ammo from him. He was accompanied by an accomplice who managed to escape arrest. “The arrested student will be produced before Berhampur court demanding 14 days police remand”, said Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad. He further added that, the student caught is the carrier while the person who escaped was the main culprit.
