1 dead, 50 injured after police lathicharge teachers protesting over pension scheme
Lucknow, Dec 07 (ANI): At least one person died in police lathicharge in Lucknow after thousands of teachers and other state government employees staged an agitation demanding revival of the old pension system for the government employees on Wednesday. The deceased teacher resident of Kushinagar district was critically injured and was rushed to the civil hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Meanwhile, the district administration has ordered a probe into the incident while the protesting teachers and state employees are demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
