'Omerta' censor cuts: It saddens me when a film gets chopped off, says Hansal Mehta
Mumbai (Maharashtra), Apr 27 (ANI): Censorship, CBFC, Cuts, these three C have been the constant enemy of many directors in Bollywood, and the recent one to join the league is director Hansal Mehta. During an exclusive interaction with ANI, Hansal Mehta said,"It saddens me each time my film gets cut. But what do I do about it? What saddens me more is that Information and Broadcasting Ministry, which is a part of our industry does not understand that the Cinematography Act should be abolished." Mehta's upcoming film, 'Omerta', a film based on the life of British Pakistani terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh's life-had to overcome a big obstacle, when Central Board of Film Certification asked the director of the film Hansal Mehta to cut a series of scenes from the film.
