Recently he has won the 100 meters gold in the 2012 London Olympic, the much-hyped race to be the fastest man of the world with a time of 9.63 seconds. He has set a new Olympic record for 100 m race and also defended his gold won the last Beijing Olympic. He has become the first man who defended his Olympic sprint title since Carl Lewis of US in 1988. Apart from this, Bolt is the first man to win three sprinting events at a single Olympic since Carl Lewis in 1984. He has another milestone in his career as he is the first man who set world records in all three events in a single Olympic.

In 2009 World cup Championships he won 100 m race in only 9.58 seconds and 200 m in just 19.19 seconds and created world records in both the events.

Bolt has another significant achievement in his career as he is one of only eight athletes of the world who has won world championships at the youth, junior and senior level of any athletic level. This shows that he was full of energy and enthusiasm from his early days, which is, continue till the date.

It is interesting that Usain Bolt was initially interested in Cricket, as the Jamaica has the environment for the same. He was interested in fast bowling and he accepts the facts that if he were not a sprinter, certainly he would be a fast bowler. He is also interested in Football and he has expressed for the game earlier. He is found of dancing and music in his leisure hour.
