Geography and Climate of Iceland:

Iceland is an island country with capital at Reykjavik is located in the North Atlantic Ocean between mainland Europe and Greenland. Iceland is the world's 18 th largest island and Europe's second largest island following Britain.

Modern Icelandic cuisine is based on local ingredients, specifically lamb and seafood but often with some exotic additions and influences. In many homes the hearty food of the past like the heavy steaks with cream sauce and caramelized potatoes, is being pushed out in favor of pasta and fresh vegetables
